P0300
P0300: Random/multiple cylinder misfire
Severity: High — especially if the light is flashing
P0300 means misfires across several cylinders without one specific cylinder. Codes P0301–P0304 name the exact cylinder.
Symptoms
- Rough idle and shaking.
- Loss of power and higher fuel use.
- Flashing check engine light.
Common causes
- Old or wrongly gapped spark plugs.
- Weak ignition coil or wires.
- Vacuum leak or dirty injectors.
- Poor fuel or low fuel-pump pressure.
Can I keep driving?
If the light flashes, drive gently and as little as possible — unburnt fuel overheats and ruins the catalytic converter.
